LEAK INSPECTION / ILLUSTRATED GUIDE

How do I explain a leak that keeps returning?

A sequence of observations can be more useful than a single photograph or a guessed source.

Record each occurrence

List the dates you remember and the area affected. Approximate dates are acceptable when clearly identified.

Keep conditions separate

Note what you observed around that time. A nearby storm report is context and does not establish the source of a leak.

Mark what is unknown

If you do not know whether previous work addressed the same area, say so. Similar symptoms can require further investigation.
